In addition to our core work with employers within science, engineering and technology and with women working or seeking to work within those sectors, the UKRC is also involved in a number of innovative projects and campaigns with other partners.

 

We act as a gender mentor to projects initiated by other organisations - these currently include the London Engineering Project, run by the Royal Academy of Engineering, and the Stimulating Physics project led by the Institute of Physics.

 

We are also seeking to push forward campaigns in priority areas, including climate change and the 2012 Games. Both these offer opportunities and challenges to help ensure the full participation of women in science, engineering and technology. In the case of the 2012 Games, women's participation in the preparation for and delivery of the event itself and in the case of climate change, in helping to develop the science, engineering and technology solutions to reduce our impact on the planet.
