As the Scottish national centre of the UKRC, the Scottish Resource Centre for
Women in Science, Engineering and Technology is helping Scotland in meeting the
challenges of sustaining a diverse and effective workforce in science, engineering,
technology and the built environment.
The Scottish Government has embedded a commitment to tackling issues of gender
inequality, such as the gender pay gap, and occupational segregation, in its plans
for development, education, enterprise and lifelong learning.
The Scottish Resource Centre is taking forward initiatives developed in partnership
with UKRC to achieve targets on addressing gender imbalance in research, education
and employment. In addition, particular projects are being developed to meet needs
identified in Scotland. These are described in detail in our
Activities pages.
Based in Edinburgh Napier University, in the Faculty of Engineering, Computing
and Creative Industries, the Centre has an all-Scotland remit.
